This 1986 30′ enclosed car trailer was in rough shape when we got it. The roof supports were sagging about 3″, the base plates for the studs were rotten because the assembly plant put aluminum on the steel without anything in between the two materials.
The trailer was rebuilt with 1.5″ steel tubing instead of the flimsy furring channel that was previously there. It weighs 5000lbs empty and has two 9000lbs axles.
Insulated with 2″ of spray foam all around, it will be great using it all year with a small heater.
